Los Angeles Writers Guild Strike Analysis

Can’t resist putting up a post about this. I live four blocks away from CBS, and see the strikers in front of the studio daily. Especially since Joe Marchesse had to make a post about it on Mediapost.

Here was Joe’s take about the effect of the strike on the industry.

  1. This would accelerate the search for monetization methods of digital content (OK, I didn’t think of that!)
  2. Less New TV content - I did think of this one as the big drawback for studios
  3. Surplus of digital media talent - I’ll pretend I thought of that.

Radio and TV Cost Per Action Company Gets $20 Mil. in Funding

Although I focus primarily on online marketing - I work with TV and Radio Advertising (among other offline marketing channels) as well. (I’m into any media that I can track performance in.)

The news today is about Revshare.com receiving funding to the tune of $20 million dollars. The guys over at AlarmClock say” We had no clue there was such as thing as cost per action in the TV advertising world”, and now only think that there is Revshare.
