Radio and TV Cost Per Action Company Gets $20 Mil. in Funding

By Los Angeles Internet Marketing | December 12, 2007

Thanks for Dropping By! I'd love to learn more about you, so why don't you join my MyBlogLog Community and say "Hi"?

Although I focus primarily on online marketing - I work with TV and Radio Advertising (among other offline marketing channels) as well. (I’m into any media that I can track performance in.)

The news today is about Revshare.com receiving funding to the tune of $20 million dollars. The guys over at AlarmClock say” We had no clue there was such as thing as cost per action in the TV advertising world”, and now only think that there is Revshare.

Here’s some detail on the model. Similar to what CPA companies like Commission Junction do, PI companies act as a network for radio stations and advertisers. Instead of the normal rate-card price however, the advertiser merely pays per lead. The radio station also doesn’t get any set pay per ad, but instead gets paid by the lead as well.

The advantage for radio stations is that they can fill their own unsold inventory without cutting their rate card pricing, and without too much hassle, while the advertiser gains because they get extra leads at a set price.

The caveat is that the advertisers needs to be willing to pay for every single lead that comes in, and have a call-center - or some type of sales team in place to answer the phone calls.

I work with a competitor of Revshare - BH Direct. If you are interested in advertising on Radio and TV in an alternative marketing channel, you would want to call BH Direct at: 800-367-1919.

Tell them that David sent you!
